Jackie loves working for HeimLantz because of the company culture and the opportunity to pursue a professional niche. In her capacity as a financial planner, she also focuses on individual, fiduciary, estate and small business tax compliance and planning. In addition, she has experience dealing with the Internal Revenue Service to resolve client issues. With over 25 years of public accounting experience, 10 of which have been with HeimLantz, she is a valuable member of the team.
When she found herself at a crossroads in her career, Jackie took a vocational interest test in order to evaluate her professional interests as well as her prospects—as a result of the test, she decided to pursue a new career in accounting. Already a graduate of Ohio State University, she pursued and received her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification in 1981. Following that, she received the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER CFP® certification in 1990. Lastly, she received the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation in 1997.
As a long term member of her local community, Jackie has been active in both business and civic organizations. She will be re-embarking on membership of the finance committee for Calvary United Methodist Church. She also serves as the treasurer for her Homeowner’s Association.
Jackie was raised primarily in California, but has also lived in Arizona, Ohio, South Carolina, Tennessee, and Michigan. She currently resides in Annapolis, Maryland and has two grown children and five grandchildren. She enjoys the area because of its proximity to two major cities and abundance of historic sites (she is a bigger fan of British history than American but relishes the local attractions, nonetheless). An avid bridge player since her college days, Jackie can often be found playing the game with her friends.
