Jackie began her career at HeimLantz as a tax professional, focusing on individual and fiduciary tax matters. Recognizing her strong analytical skills and client-focused approach, she transitioned to the Wealth Management team where she continues to thrive. With a background in tax and years of experience within the financial services industry, Jackie brings a well-rounded perspective to her role as a Wealth Management Advisor. She has become a valuable resource for clients and colleagues alike through her dedication and knowledge. Jackie holds credentials as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), and CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) professional. Her broad expertise enables her to deliver tailored, strategic advice that aligns with each client’s unique financial goals. Driven by a desire to serve and support others, Jackie is committed to providing exceptional service and personalized financial solutions. She values strong relationships, both professionally and in her community, where she actively volunteers. A member of Calvary United Methodist Church, she contributes to the Finance Ministry Team and serves as Treasurer of the Saefern Community. Jackie lives in Annapolis and enjoys playing bridge and spending time with her two children and five grandchildren.

Kathie Sulick, CPA, PFS

A lifelong Annapolis resident, Kathie brings decades of experience in accounting and financial planning. She began her professional journey in 1983 with the Maryland General Assembly and has since built a distinguished career in both the public and private sectors. Kathie’s extensive background includes time with the CPA firm of Hammond and Heim and serving as the Finance Director for the City of Annapolis before joining HeimLantz in 2002. Her deep roots in the Annapolis community and decades of hands-on experience make her a trusted and respected advisor. As a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Kathie specializes in helping individuals, families, and businesses develop personalized financial strategies. Her focus lies in creating, preserving, and distributing wealth through tax-advantaged solutions tailored to each client’s goals. Kathie is passionate about being a true partner in her clients’ financial lives, providing peace of mind through thoughtful, long-term planning. She lives in her family’s historic home on Harness Creek Road, built by her grandfather in 1920, and is an alumna of Christopher Newport University (B.S. in Accounting, Magna Cum Laude), the University of Maryland (MS Certificate in Finance), and Leadership Anne Arundel (Class of 1998).

Since joining HeimLantz in 2008, Meghan has brought a strong sense of dedication, integrity, and warmth to every client interaction. Her commitment to delivering exceptional service is evident in her proactive approach and her ability to anticipate and meet client needs with care and precision. Meghan began her career at HeimLantz as the Director of First Impressions, where she played a key role in shaping the firm’s welcoming and professional atmosphere. She later transitioned to the Wealth Management team, where she continues to build on her strong foundation in client service and office operations. As a Client Services Associate, Meghan supports both advisors and clients by managing administrative tasks, monitoring accounts, and ensuring the efficient execution of financial transactions. Her attention to detail, organizational skills, and client-first mindset make her a trusted and reliable team member. Meghan is passionate about building lasting relationships and helping clients feel supported and valued throughout their financial journey. A proud resident of Ellicott City, Maryland, she enjoys the area's charm and natural beauty. Meghan treasures time with her husband, Mike, their two daughters, and their cat, Finch. Outside the office, she finds joy in family life, volunteering in her church’s children’s ministry, and embracing the everyday moments of motherhood.
Michele Ludwig

Michele is passionate about delivering exceptional client service by maintaining a strong client-first mindset in everything she does. Inspired by the importance of financial literacy, she pursued a career in wealth management to help individuals and families navigate their financial journeys with confidence. Since joining HeimLantz in 2021 as a Client Services Associate, Michele has focused on providing personalized administrative support to the firm’s Wealth Management Advisors. Her background in higher education, teaching, and customer service allows her to communicate effectively and contribute meaningfully to each client interaction. Michele brings a well-rounded skill set to the wealth management space, drawing on her experience in education and client engagement to ensure a smooth and informed advisory process. She is committed to understanding each client’s unique needs and enhancing their experience through proactive support and attention to detail. Deeply aligned with HeimLantz’s mission of making lives better, Michele is dedicated to supporting clients with integrity, compassion, and excellence. She lives in Annapolis with her husband, Jeff, and their three children, and enjoys the rhythm of coastal living with proximity to major cities. Outside of work, Michele can often be found cheering on her children at games, performances, and dance recitals.
Paul Abbou, CPA, CFP®, PFS
Wealth Manager
Paul’s journey into accounting and finance began in an unexpected way—on the recommendation of the FBI. After spending a decade in support services for the bureau, including several years as an Investigative Assistant, he transitioned into financial services, bringing with him a unique blend of discipline, precision, and professionalism that his clients deeply value. A graduate of George Mason University with a Bachelor of Science in Business, Paul launched his career with the FBI before joining HeimLantz in 1998. Over the years, he has become a trusted advisor to individuals and businesses across the legal, medical, IT, and service industries, known for his dedication and deep client relationships. Paul specializes in financial and tax planning with a focus on minimizing tax burdens and maximizing wealth growth. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and Florida, as well as a Certified Financial Planner™ and Personal Financial Specialist—credentials that allow him to integrate tax strategies into wealth management in ways many advisors cannot. Paul is passionate about helping clients grow and prosper through thoughtful planning and strategic problem-solving. Known for his approachable personality and quick wit, he enjoys making the financial process engaging and personal. A native of Monterey, California, Paul now lives in Alexandria, Virginia, where he enjoys the vibrant mix of dining, culture, and entertainment. In his free time, he stays active through exercise and reading, and he especially enjoys traveling to Western Europe to soak in its history and charm.

Get to know Renee
Renee’s absolute favorite place in the world is Texas. She loves every part of the state. If she had to pick just one city in Texas, she would say El Paso. The smell of the desert, the mountains, and culture are just so comforting. Every time she visits, she feels like she’s home.
If Renee could choose any other profession, she would want to be a librarian. She loves reading, writing and research. It would be the perfect job!
BIO
Renee joined the HeimLantz team with over 15 years of retail, customer service, and management experience. With so many years focused on giving quality service to customers, Renee values the importance of a great client experience. She is motivated by collaboration and teamwork and working together to reach a common goal and build lasting client relationships.
As the firm’s marketing coordinator, Renee’s role at HeimLantz includes coordinating the marketing initiatives for the firm and assisting the executive team with the firm’s strategic plan. In addition, she also supports the firm’s day-to-day functions. Renee’s sales experience has helped elevate the firm’s marketing and development goals. She also manages client events and supports the firm during tax season.
As a military child, Renee has lived in both the United States and Europe, living in places like California, Georgia, Texas, and Germany. Renee had the extraordinary experience of living in Berlin during the fall of the Berlin Wall. Renee currently resides in Crofton with her family, three cats, two dogs, and a hedgehog. Renee and her family are big movie fans and spend a lot of their weekends checking out the newest movie releases. Renee is an avid runner and practices yoga. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends.

Sheri began her wealth management career at HeimLantz at just 19 years old and has grown into a trusted advisor and respected leader within the firm. She attributes her professional success to the unwavering support of her HeimLantz colleagues, her parents, and her husband, all of whom encouraged her journey from eager intern to accomplished director. Sheri joined HeimLantz in 2006 as an intern and quickly moved into the role of Wealth Management Assistant. Her passion for financial education and desire to make a meaningful difference in clients’ lives led her to become a Wealth Manager in 2014. In 2021, she was promoted to Director of Wealth Management, where she leads with a client-focused, values-driven approach. Sheri specializes in comprehensive financial planning for individuals and business owners, guiding her clients through every stage of their financial journey. She is known for helping clients pursue and maintain financial independence through personalized strategies that align with their goals and lifestyles. Sheri is passionate about empowering others through financial education and delivering advice that creates lasting impact. Raised in Bowie, Maryland, she now resides in West River with her husband, Tobin, their two daughters, Ali and Emma, and their rescue dog, Fin. She loves being near the water and enjoys boating, swimming, and kayaking. When she travels, her favorite destination is Deep Creek Lake, where she enjoys spending time with family. Sheri earned her Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business in 2011.
